Product Details

BC Racing BR Series Coilovers for the 1990-2005 Mazda Miata/MX-5 (NA8C/NB8C) are BC Racing's entry-level coilover and the most popular kit in their entire lineup — they offer the most accessible entry into adjustable coilover suspension without sacrificing performance, comfort, build quality, or handling. Every kit is extensively tested on the Miata/MX-5 chassis and refined until it balances ride quality with performance — the reason Miata/MX-5 coilovers from BC Racing are the best-selling adjustable kits in their segment worldwide.

Every BR Series kit is built around a mono-tube damper with simultaneous compression and rebound adjustment at every corner — a wide damping range without the complexity of a race-only setup. Ride height is fully adjustable independent of spring preload, so you set the stance and the ride separately. BC Racing takes pride in choosing spring rates and damper valving that balance comfort and performance — you never end up with the oversprung, harsh-riding kit some brands ship as their only option. Drivers who want to deviate from the factory setup can order Swift Springs, custom spring rates, and custom valving at checkout; BC will re-valve the dampers to match whatever you specify, a level of customization most brands reserve for their top-tier race kits.

Since 2004, BC Racing has grown into one of the most trusted names in aftermarket coilovers — not by racing to the bottom on price, but by pairing that price with real build quality, deep customization options, and a damper design any suspension shop can rebuild instead of replacing. These Miata/MX-5 coilovers arrive tuned for the Miata/MX-5 chassis and ready to bolt in — no break-in period, no guessing at setup. Every kit ships with a 2-year manufacturer warranty, lifetime access to BC service parts (pistons, seals, shafts — no unit replacement required when it's time for a rebuild), and in-house tech support from both BC Racing and the Springrates team.

    Lots of drop!

Solid stiff ride and you can go really low until your fenders rub 👌🏽 very easy to adjust how stiff or how soft you want your ride i highly recommend this if you're looking for good solid coilovers. I drive on the high way a lot so I was looking for a stiffer ride, but with the setting on the stiffest its way too stiff probably perfect for track use very noticeable difference from stiffest to softestDon't cheap out on coilovers these are solid for street high way or even the trackIf you're looking for stiffer ride, smoother ride, abd good quality coilovers this is for you you'll immediately feel the difference in ride once you install them

    Every car needs this!

Changed my stock 95 Miata suspension for these coil overs and the car handles amazing. Makes your ride very adjustable and will make your ride turn like a go cart! I was hesitant in spending the money but it's like everyone said to me, "worth every penny"

    So adjustable.

Just when I thought my Miata couldn’t handle any better I was proven wrong. I had mild understeer when I was really pushing it and that completely went away. Car stays so flat in corners. Being able to adjust ride hight independent of spring rate is really nice. There is a ton of range in dampening adjustment. They look to be built really well and install was pretty straight forward, no spring compressor needed.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

How much will BC Coilovers lower my car?

On average, Standard Drop allows about 1-2 inches of drop range below factory ride height. Extreme Low allows about 2-3 inches of drop.

Can BC Coilovers achieve factory ride height?

No. In most cases, factory ride height cannot be achieved.

What is a custom build vs off-the-shelf kit?

The stock level displayed on our website reflects the availability of standard “off-the-shelf” kits, unless noted otherwise in the product description. Selecting any custom options—such as Extreme Low, custom spring rates, Swift Spring upgrades, or top mount changes—will result in a custom-built kit. Please note: all series except the BR Series are built to order, with the exception of select popular DS Series kits that may be in stock. Also, some popular Extreme Low kits are in stock as well. To identify these, look for "Extreme Low" in the product title.

Will the struts be valved correctly?

Yes! The shocks and/or struts are always valved to match the spring rates you choose during a custom build. There is no additional cost.

Can they be rebuilt?

Yes, all BC Racing Coilovers can be rebuilt by purchasing individual replacement parts. For example, if a strut leaks, you can simply replace the shock cartridge.

Is there rush shipping available?

Rush shipping is not offered, but all in-stock kits ship very fast— most by the next day.

Customizing the coilovers in any way will delay the shipment by a few weeks on average.
